SCAD Star Suits

The pink coffin design, "Pompom," marked the beginning of my journey into exploring inflatables as a design medium. This exploration established my reputation within the SCAD community as the go-to inflatable designer. SCAD has been an incredible supporter of my work over the years, and in 2024, I partnered with them to produce "Star Suit" inflatables for their annual Chalk Arts Festival, which coincided with their 42nd anniversary celebration.

The suits were designed as part of a parade and performance art piece that danced around Forsyth Park during the festival. For context, the Chalk Arts Festival is a contest hosted by SCAD where students and artists come together in Forsyth Park in Savannah, Georgia, to create artwork within a three-hour window using only chalk as the medium. I was fortunate to be offered a position as a judge for this contest. Along with designing the inflatables as a performance piece, I had the honor of judging over 500 works of art.
